Position Overview

Steel Delivery Drivers play a critical role between our fabrication shop and the field. This position combines commercial driving, material handling, equipment operation, and customer interaction.

Every delivery represents Bare Steel’s commitment to professionalism, quality, and reliability.

Roof Ladders
Pit Ladders
Miscellaneous Steel
Custom Fabricated Assemblies

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

✔ Loading and securing fabricated steel for transport

✔ Delivering materials safely and on time

✔ Inspecting loads before departure

✔ Operating forklifts and material handling equipment

✔ Assisting installation crews with unloading and staging

✔ Verifying delivery tickets and materials

✔ Maintaining delivery vehicles and trailers

✔ Communicating with project managers and shop personnel

✔ Following DOT regulations and company safety procedures

✔ Representing Bare Steel professionally on every jobsite

Qualifications

We’re looking for:
✔ Valid California Driver License (Class C minimum)
✔ Clean driving record
✔ Experience towing trailers preferred
✔ Forklift experience preferred
✔ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
✔ Strong organizational skills
✔Excellent customer service attitude
✔ Reliable and punctual

A Class A license is a plus and may qualify for additional opportunities.

Daily Responsibilities

A typical day may include:
✔Reviewing delivery schedules
✔Loading fabricated steel
✔Inspecting securement
✔Delivering to multiple jobsites
✔Assisting installers with unloading
✔ Picking up material from vendors
✔Returning completed paperwork
✔Preparing the truck for the next day’s deliveries
